The razor itself is very clean looking and the handle has a really good grip to it. As you can see in the image, this razor has a butterfly-style open for easy blade changes.
I opted to grab the gunmetal finish and it looks great.

Shaving with the Van Der Hagen safety razor was a great experience overall. I purchased the long-handle version of the razor for added grip and control when using it. The handle had exceptional grip even when my hands were wet or covered in shaving soap. The butterfly-style open made it super easy to change blades. The razor was also very forgiving and didn’t cause much irritation, making it suitable for even a novice user new to the world of wet shaving.
